RUNHow it works

Six stages, one drop.

Everything below happens after your close is finished. Nothing above it changes — not your ledger, not your allocations, not your decimals.

Drop it, or .

waiting for a run

A sample run, processed on this page. Invented operator, invented owners.

01The run, stage by stage
01The file lands.

Drop

Export the JIB run or revenue run out of your accounting system the way you already do. Drag the file onto DropJib — or point a watched folder at it and skip the dragging entirely.

  • Accepts the print-stream and PDF output your system already generates
  • Watched folder or manual drop, whichever fits your close
  • Nothing is re-keyed and nothing in your books changes
02The run is understood.

Read

DropJib finds the owner breaks in the run, matches each block to an owner record, and reconciles the count against your run total before anything is sent.

  • Owner breaks detected and matched to the owner master
  • Page counts and totals reconciled against the run
  • Unmatched or changed owners are held, not guessed at
03One file becomes many.

Burst

The run is split into individual owner statements — the pages that belong to that owner and nothing else. Every statement is a self-contained document with your cover sheet, your remit-to, and your branding.

  • One statement per owner, correct pages every time
  • Your letterhead, cover message, and remittance instructions
  • Attachments and inserts applied by owner class
04Everyone gets theirs at once.

Deliver

Statements go out by email and post to the owner portal in the same pass. Owners who have not consented to electronic delivery, or who never opened the last three, route to print and mail instead of quietly failing.

  • Email plus portal in a single send
  • Electronic-delivery consent recorded per owner
  • Bounces and non-openers fall back to paper automatically
05The money comes back.

Collect

Working interest owners can pay their joint interest bill from inside the statement instead of cutting a check three weeks later. Payments post against the right well and the right owner.

  • Pay-from-statement for joint interest bills
  • Payment status visible next to every owner, every run
  • Remittance detail comes back attached to the invoice
06You can show your work.

Prove

Every run keeps a record: who was sent what, when it left, when it was opened, and what changed since last month. When a non-operator asks — or an auditor does — the answer takes a search box, not an afternoon.

  • Per-owner delivery log with timestamps
  • Re-send any statement from any prior period
  • Run-over-run comparison for the period in question
02What you can hand it

The PDF run

The multi-hundred-page statement run your system prints today, dropped in whole.

The print stream

The spool file your system sends to the printer, captured before it ever becomes paper.

A watched folder

Export to a folder on a schedule and DropJib picks it up without anyone touching it.

An owner master export

A CSV or extract of owner records, so names, decimals, and addresses stay matched run to run.

03Running it
01How long does a monthly statement run take with DropJib?

The manual work collapses to a drop and a review. Instead of separating a printed run by hand, stuffing envelopes, and metering mail over several days, an operator drops the finished run, reviews the owner matches and any exceptions DropJib held back, and releases the send. The remaining time is your review time, not your handling time.

02What happens if an owner is not matched to a record?

It is held, not guessed at. If DropJib cannot match a block of the run to a known owner — a new partner, an interest that changed hands, a name that no longer resolves — that statement is held out of the send and shown as an exception to resolve. Nothing goes to the wrong owner because the software decided to be helpful.

03Can I re-send a statement from a prior period?

Yes. Every statement from every run is retained per owner and can be retrieved or re-sent without rebuilding the run in your accounting system. That is the answer to most partner and owner phone calls, and to most audit requests.

04Do owners have to create an account to read their statement?

No. The statement is delivered to the owner by email as a document they can open, save, and forward to their own accountant. The portal is there for owners who want history, documents, self-service updates, or the ability to pay — it is not a gate in front of the statement itself.

05Who typically owns DropJib inside an operator?

The person who runs the monthly close — a controller, a JIB accountant, a revenue accountant, or an owner-relations lead. It is bought by whoever currently has to physically handle the statement run, and it is usually adopted first for whichever run is the biggest headache that month.
