Drop. Jib. Done.

Drop the run.
Everyone gets theirs.

DropJib takes the joint interest billing and revenue runs your accounting system already produces and turns them into individual statements — emailed, posted to an owner portal, payable, and logged. No envelopes. No mail room. No “did you get it?”

Built for oil and gas operators. Sits downstream of the accounting system you already run — your books, your close, and your decimals do not change.

waiting for a run

A sample run, processed on this page. Invented operator, invented owners.

01The monthly run

The way it runs now

  • The run prints. Somebody separates it by owner.
  • Envelopes get stuffed, metered, and driven to the post office.
  • Statements spend days in transit before anyone reads them.
  • A partner calls about a charge. Somebody goes looking for the run.
  • An auditor asks what was sent in March. Nobody can prove it quickly.

The way it runs on DropJib

  • The run is dropped. DropJib finds the owner breaks itself.
  • Every owner gets their own statement by email and in the portal.
  • Working interest owners pay from inside the statement.
  • Any statement, any period, retrieved in one search.
  • Every send is logged with a timestamp and a result.
02What it does
01

Drag and drop to automate processing

Drop the statement run your accounting system produced. DropJib reads it, finds the owner breaks, and splits a single multi-hundred-page file into one clean statement per owner.

02

Send every statement with one button

Joint interest bills and revenue statements go out by email and land in the owner portal at the same moment. No envelopes, no postage meter, no trip to the post office.

03

Give owners real self-service

Every working interest and royalty owner gets their own account: current statement, full history, documents, contact updates, and a way to pay what they owe.

04

Run it in the cloud or on your own iron

DropJib runs as a managed cloud service or installed onsite behind your own firewall, on the same schedule either way.

03The run, end to end
01

Drop

The file lands.

Export the JIB run or revenue run out of your accounting system the way you already do. Drag the file onto DropJib — or point a watched folder at it and skip the dragging entirely.

02

Read

The run is understood.

DropJib finds the owner breaks in the run, matches each block to an owner record, and reconciles the count against your run total before anything is sent.

03

Burst

One file becomes many.

The run is split into individual owner statements — the pages that belong to that owner and nothing else. Every statement is a self-contained document with your cover sheet, your remit-to, and your branding.

04

Deliver

Everyone gets theirs at once.

Statements go out by email and post to the owner portal in the same pass. Owners who have not consented to electronic delivery, or who never opened the last three, route to print and mail instead of quietly failing.

05

Collect

The money comes back.

Working interest owners can pay their joint interest bill from inside the statement instead of cutting a check three weeks later. Payments post against the right well and the right owner.

06

Prove

You can show your work.

Every run keeps a record: who was sent what, when it left, when it was opened, and what changed since last month. When a non-operator asks — or an auditor does — the answer takes a search box, not an afternoon.

Most owner calls are three questions.

Where is my statement. Why did the amount change. Can you send me last year's. All three are self-service questions the moment an owner has somewhere to look — and the operator gets that time back every single month.

  • Their statement, the day the run finishes
  • Every prior period, always available
  • Pay a joint interest bill without cutting a check
  • Update contact and remit details without calling anyone
06Where it sits

DropJib does not replace your accounting system. It finishes the job.

Your books stay where they are. Your close does not change. DropJib picks up at the moment the run finishes printing — the moment that used to mean somebody walks to the printer.

We first started using DropJib last year and instantly saw the benefits. It integrated seamlessly with our accounting software and was the greatest compliment to our invoicing workflow.

07Questions
01What is DropJib?

DropJib is statement delivery software for oil and gas operators. It takes the joint interest billing and revenue distribution runs an operator's accounting system already produces, splits the run into an individual statement for each working interest or royalty owner, delivers those statements by email and through an owner portal, collects payment on joint interest bills, and keeps a per-owner record of what was sent and when.

02Does DropJib replace my oil and gas accounting software?

No. DropJib sits downstream of your accounting system. Your general ledger, your allocations, your decimals, and your close stay exactly where they are. DropJib picks up at the point where the statement run finishes printing and handles everything from there — bursting, branding, delivery, payment, and the delivery record.

03What is joint interest billing (JIB) in oil and gas?

Joint interest billing is the process by which the operator of an oil or gas well bills each working interest owner for their proportional share of the costs of drilling, completing, and operating that well. The operator pays the costs up front, then allocates them among the partners according to their working interest percentages as set out in the joint operating agreement (JOA) and its attached COPAS accounting procedure. Each partner receives a monthly joint interest billing statement showing their share of each charge.

04What does DropJib integrate with?

DropJib is built to sit downstream of the systems operators actually run for JIB and revenue accounting, including PakEnergy (WolfePak), Quorum, Enertia, OGsys, Petrofly, SherWare, Avatar Systems, P2/BOLO, QuickBooks, and Excel. It does not require an API into your books. It consumes the printed statement run — the PDF or the print stream — which means the system you use matters far less than most integrations do. If your system can print a statement run, DropJib can take it.

05What happens when an owner's email bounces?

A bounced statement is treated as an undelivered statement, not a completed send. DropJib flags hard bounces and repeat non-openers, routes those owners back to print and mail, and surfaces them as a list to work — because an owner you cannot reach is the front edge of a suspense and unclaimed-property problem, not just a delivery problem.

06What does statement bursting mean?

Statement bursting is the process of splitting one large print run into separate documents, one per recipient. In oil and gas, a monthly JIB or revenue run can be several hundred pages covering every owner in every property; bursting detects where one owner's pages end and the next owner's begin, and produces a self-contained statement for each owner that can be emailed, posted to a portal, or printed on its own.
